GAMBLE provides the institutional framework and support system to guide our minority
scholars by strategically partnering with top companies to improve the visibility of our minority
underclassmen, and to directly impact the development of individuals in the Georgetown
Private Networking Events
Meet-and-greets that allow undergraduates to approach executives and recruiters on a
one-on-one basis and ask candid questions
GAMBLE understands that giving back to the Georgetown community is an obligation.
As a highly recognized organization on campus, we hope to inspire change through our actions.
For this reason, GAMBLE houses a philanthropy committee that is fully dedicated to serving the
Georgetown community by being involved in events such as 25 days of service and the
GAMBLE/ Year Up case competition. Furthermore, GAMBLE is working towards establishing
a scholarship fund that will serve students in need of financial support. These scholarships will
be awarded to students in need of professional attire, housing subsidies, etc.
GAMBLE Events and Student Club Partnerships
GAMBLE has a direct link to other diverse student groups on campus, as well as business
focused student organizations. If the event is gender influenced, diversity focused or career
driven, the conversation and opportunity can be shared beyond the membership of GAMBLE’s
minority candidates and across the Georgetown community.
A Conversation on Diversity
Whether it begins with a targeted diversity event, or a university wide presentation,
diversity and inclusion are the ultimate goals for GAMBLE and our corporate partnerships. For
this reason, GAMBLE with the help of the McDonough School of Business and our corporate
sponsors executed the first Georgetown University Annual Diversity Conference in January
2014. The conference consisted of speakers, roundtable discussions, interactive panels, four
concurrent sessions lead by corporate sponsors, a diversity career fair and a concluding
networking event. This event was well attended by Georgetown University students and
surrounding DMV students.
A Day in the Life- On Location
An opportunity for students to obtain a first-hand understanding of what the job they wish
to pursue entails and how they can pursue their career interests.
The Year End Reception
Every spring, GAMBLE ends the year with a large-scale annual networking event that
unites partnering student club leaders, supporting faculty, alumni, and our corporate sponsors to
a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres networking session. The event consists of notable keynote speakers
to celebrate GAMBLE and the accomplishments of business leaders and entrepreneurs
committed to diverse causes.
